Daniel Galpin has extensive experience in; minerals, water well and HDD industries across Western Australia where his diverse range of technical abilities has assisted numerous clients with projects ranging from deep geothermal projects, diamond coring programs as well as large diameter trenchless installations covering all facets of drilling fluids engineering.

Daniel has extensive technical experience and very detailed understanding of chemical processes (Bsc Hons) which has seen him contribute heavily with new product development, through field evaluation and trials. Daniel is particularly interested in drilling fluid optimisation where proper fluid selection and training will deliver savings and improved drilling performance.

Jon Ballan has been in the drilling fluids industry for almost 9 years. Jon has serviced the minerals, water well and HDD markets predominately in WA. Jon has recently completed a 3 year secondment to Kalgoorlie, WA for a large drilling fluids company where he managed the Goldfields. During this time Jon worked on UG diamond rigs, surface diamond rigs, RC drilling rigs and water well rigs in the area.

Jon has worked closely with clients to provide bespoke mud schools for their individual circumstances.

Mike Skull commenced his career in the drilling industry in 1994 in remote mineral exploration. Having gained extensive drilling experience throughout Australia in diamond coring, reverse circulation and mud rotary disciplines, he moved into a role supporting Asian and Australian drilling operations with fluids engineering in 2002. Mike attained certification for water based drilling fluids from one of the world's largest oilfield services providers in 2008.

His focus since has included mineral exploration, artesian water boring and a specialist role in large diameter HDD projects. In recent years, Mike has increased his exposure to the special foundations and tunnelling sectors of the construction industry, working on large projects in Bangladesh and Australia.

Geoff Wood has over 10 years' experience in; drilling slurries for Water Well, mini and maxi HDD, Civil and Special Foundations and large diameter tunnelling in designing and testing slurries and two-part grouts. Geoff also has expertise in the area of Solids Control Units 'SCU' and has designed large scale SCU plants for clients in both the drilling and waste treatment areas, these applications also include the use of high speed centrifuge incorporating the dewatering process.

Geoff also is experienced in large diameter percussive hammer at bit sizes greater than 30" and has advised clients on correct tooling, air requirements and chemistry for large diameter DTH hammer work.
